Some of us don't like to read. It's just oh so tiring! If you'd rather just watch 60 Minutes talk about my topic, click here!

  1. I loved this blog post because I'm not the biggest fan of reading so thank you for posting a very interesting video!! :) I think that the dangerous culture that has been created and progressed has not been stopped by enforcement techniques and lowering the drinking age would make a difference. The abuse of the drinking age was clearly described in the video when it showed the story of the fraternity that did not save the life of the pledge that was passed out on the floor. The alcohol test in comparison to the driving test that allowed you to receive a license was an interesting option that I haven't heard of before. What are your thoughts about this test? Do you think that this test would be effective?

  2. I think that this test is a fabulous alternative to simply lowering the drinking age and letting us run free. This is the main point that John McCardell, a leader of the Amethyst Initiative, makes. Education is key when it comes to the dangers of alcohol. The problems mostly arise when children are unaware of what they are getting into and don't ask questions or tell their parents for fear of being punished. Education could lead to less binge drinking and therefore less subsequent injuries.
